For Essentials 6.5, you do not activate your license with Get License.

You have to generate a request code with your dongle and then submit the request code to Softimage Licensing. Licensing will generate your license and send it to you.

We have had some intermittent network problems recently, maybe that is why you got those errors.

i think the anti piracy on this software is somewhat over strict.

In 7.0, the process is streamlined. Instead of manually generated the request code and submitting it, you will simply start the License Manager, click a button, enter your softimage.com login information, and immediately get your license.

that’s nice to hear. i would have thought dongles were strong enough on their own. but i’m sure there is reasons

How does one generate a request code from their dongle? I’ve looked through this forum and the setup guide, but I can’t seem to get anywhere.

Appears to be a mysql error.  I’ll send an email to support on Monday if it’s still doing this.
