I’m having an issue where XSI simply refuses to get a license from my license server.  I’ve checked every single thing on the WIKI listed here:

After going through the entire list and checking off everything, I still cannot get XSI to run consistently.  The license server shows none in use, I can telnet to the server, I have no port conflicts.

I have checked the task manager and there are not 2 instances of XSI running at the same time.  I’ve run “runonce.bat” and still have the same problem.

Right now the only solution I can come up with is to restart all machines.  Even still, this only sometimes fixes the problem.  Other times I still cannot run XSI at all.

Send your SPM server log to support.
You can find it at C:\spm\spm.log.

Thanks Steve - sending now.  I didn’t expect anyone to be in at Softimage support at 8am on a Saturday.

6.5 starts without a problem every time - not sure what the difference is between the two.
