I have upgraded from windows 7 beta to purchased version.
I had hoped that as there was no hardware changes that xsi 7.01 64 bit would simply accept the license generated the last time I had to reinstall. This does not seem to be the case.
Now I have had 7 back and forth emails to license support, including making a telephone call from the UK in an attempt to regenerate a license file.
Am I having any success? Not a hope! I have had emails suggesting I am using a pirated piece of software, one telling me that “Hobbyist” was not coming up on the data-base search, why not search for “Paterson” and my address as supplied and tied to my orriginal purchase.
I really dont hold much hope for getting xsi back up and running anytime soon, heaven forbid if I do have to reinstall in the future.
Anyone got any advice on how to take this forward?

Autodesk have now sent me a link to the correct form.

Licensing for XSI 7.01 and earlier is handled through the web form autodesk.com/softimagemanualactivation.
The web form sends the info to the people who know what to do for the historical XSI licensing issues.
