Hi,
I came back from a business trip today and saw the email about Autodesk Softimage 7.5. I came to this forum and saw that people with a support contract will be able to access the Autodesk Support.
Now, I have 7.1 installed and I tried to access the license management (to see if this is still possible) but I got a message box telling me that the connection to the server could not be established.
I then tried to login into the Autodesk support via my old Softimage login which didn’t work either.
So, my question is:
a) How can I access the Autodesk support site?
b) How can I access my license management?
Thanks,
Stefan

As receiving a mail from Autodesk Subscription probably means, your account has successfully been transfered, you can do one of two things:
1) Wait until the invitation-email containing your login-name & temporary password arrive (but it hasn’t happened here yet!)
2) Go to the login-page, press “forgot user ID”, give them your name and email adress, wait for a mail with your “User ID”, go to “forgot password”, fill in your “User ID” and email adress, wait for the next mail & hey presto: a “user ID” & a temporary password to login.
I dare not answer your second question concerning “license management”, but I would imagine, that once you’re “in”, “all will be revealed”!

Thanks for your reply. I did this before I posted here and unfortunately the autodesk login page -> “forgot user id” tells me that my email account is unknown.
I’ll wait until the end of next week and then I’ll try to contact them to see what happens. All this transferring is less than smooth… much less…
Thanks,
Stefan

Hi Stefan
For XSI 7.01 and earlier, if you need help with your XSI license, you can contact the Softimage Licensing team:
Email:
Web: http://www.softimage.com/licenseactivation/
The Web-based Softimage licensing services, such as Get License, PANIC, Deactivate License, and Assign Licenses, are no longer available. The Softimage Customer Portal is also no longer available. These web-based licensing services were taken offline on 23 Feb 2009, as part of the transition from Softimage licensing to the Autodesk ordering and licensing system.
For 7.5, license help is available from the Autodesk Business Center or from Autodesk Product Support.

I’ve sent an email to the license team to get a new linux key but I didn’t know the ‘autodesk serial no’. Where can I get that from? Or will they email it to me?

Hi Miga
Is this for a 7.5 license?
You will get a serial number with your physical shipment.
You might also get in an e-mail (the Subscription Order Status e-mail message).

Oh no, it was for the 7.01. I thought this thread was about the older versions

Ok, then I assume you are using the online Web form to contact Licensing?
Just leave the serial number blank, or email .

I did both. Though no feedback yet. But I assume that the license team is quiet busy at the moment :)

Quite so, I’m afraid.
