I’m running XSI 7 on my Vista 64-bit PC with a dongle. I’m planning on upgrading my PC. Will I be able to use my existing license on my upgraded PC or will I have to generate and submit a new license request?

You can use your license anywhere. The license is tied to the dongle, so no matter what happens to the PC, as long as the dongle is plugged in, you can use your license.

Could it be that the “server type” isn’t set to SI0 (dongle-based), but to SLP (the default for XSI 7, if I recall correctly) instead? This can be easily fixed in the License Manager by clicking the “change type” menu entry. (Look here)
