I currently have Softimage 7.5 installed as a network license on my desktop PC. I’m planning to upgrade my PC in a few weeks - including a new motherbaord & O/S - which I know will break my 7.5 license.
I’ve just recieved my copy of Softimage 2010 from subscription, but I’m delaying installing it until I’ve upgraded my PC; if I do this, will it just work as though it’s a whole new license, or do I need to transferr the 7.5 license to the new machine somehow first to be able to activate 2010 there?

The 2010 license is a separate license. The 2010 license replaces your 7.5 license.
You don’t need to transfer the 7.5 license before activating the 2010 license.
If you are on Subscription, then your 2010 license will allow you to run 2010 or 7.5.
If the upgrade changes your MAC address (also called the Ethernet address or Physical Address) that will break your 7.5 license. So if your network adapter is on the motherboard, then that will break the 7.5 license.

Thanks for the reply!
That’s great news, I can get on with upgrading my PC without worrying. :)
