Hi guys,
I’m having trouble getting the xsi 7 trial to run. At the point of asking for a trial license, it crashes, thus:
Any ideas why? It even does this in safe mode with barely anything else running. Is there anything the license server relies on that I might be missing?

Have you tried again recently?
It might have been a problem on softimage.com.
Try reinstalling the License Server.
Go to softimage.com/downloads, and then go to the downloads page for Advanced.
There is a download link for the SPM License Server.

Just tried that and I’m afraid no luck. Still crashing.

I assume that “that” means you tried reinstalling SPM ?:-)
Try reinstalling .NET:
and maybe the Visual C++ Redistributable too.
Those links are for the x86 versions, if you need the 64-bit installers, you’ll find the 64 download link at the bottom of the page.
