We cannot start Softimage 2010 on our ADM fx60 laptop running Win XP Pro.
We get a “Licensing error: unable to initialize adlm. Internal error message: Error code: 20”
We have not had a problem on our Win XP pro 64 bit station.
We have cleaned out our registry and completely uninstalled and reinstalled without getting any further, meaning that we can’t run one of the licenses we have just bought !
Does anyone have any clues ?

Try this:
- Remove Softimage 2010.
- Restart if prompted.
- Rename the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM.
For example, rename the folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\backup.Adlm.
- Reinstall Softimage 2010
