Hi,

I’m not sure if this is the right place for the question.

I am trying to set up an XSI renderfarm using ButterFlyNetRender Studio. It renders fine on the machine with the license server installed but on another machine, a terminal shows up saying that it can’t find any batch license.

My setup consist of 5 machines with one floating license of Advance and one floating license of Essentials. Rendering locally on each machine is absolutely fine.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Melvin

Check that the render manager is calling xsibatch.bat, not xsibatch.exe.

XSI.exe and xsibatch.exe use the SPM_HOST environment variable to find the license server.

The setenv.bat file sets SPM_HOST.

xsibatch.bat calls setenv.bat and then starts xsibatch.exe.
