[LEFT][FONT=Arial][B]Hi there,[/B][/FONT]
[FONT=Arial][/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]When I purchased the upgrade to Ess 6.5 a few weeks ago it came with a free upgrade path to XSI7, but I keep getting a no license found when running XSI 7.  I have tried performing a get license, but it comes back saying that my license is current.  Upon closer inspection and looking at my licenses, they are all stating 6.5 only and not 7.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial][/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]I have generated a request code in case you need it too:[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial][/FONT]
[FONT=Arial]# SPM request code:
# Lines starting with ‘#’ are comment lines and may be omitted
# All remaining lines are required and must be sent
# Please specify in your mail/FAX how many licenses you need

[FONT=Arial]I’m not too sure what to do next.  Can you help me out.  My XSI customer ID is the same as on my online profile here.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial]Many thanks,[/FONT]

Hi Justin,

[FONT=Verdana]Its possible that when you upgraded it missed the window to be processed for pre-generation. I’ll repost a response I made in another thread.[/FONT]

[quote=mi_echo_log.txt;8608]For customers on maintenance we pre-generate the licenses. Depending on when you renewed your maintenance contract and its current status; or placed an order; or upgraded from foundation and submitted a request code, etc, etc . You might not have been on the pre-generated list at the time it was generated.

If thats the case just run Get Trial from the license manager to get get you up and running with a Trial license, and use the XSI Advanced Shortcut.. Once thats done; go to the customer portal and fill in the ‘Where is my license’ form.

http://www.softimage.com/CustomerPortal/RequestHelp/WhereIsMyLicense.aspx

This will send a note to the licensing team with the necessary information to help move things along with your account.
