Hi! :)

I’m quite new to XSI and I’m trying to get that kind of effect when I animate some geometry for let’s say 50 frames and than I want that animated geometry to turn into cloth… but I also want to keep that keyframed velocity…

It’s a kind of effect like a character walking and then turning into cloth.

Thank’s for any suggestions :)

Well.. I figured it out.. for anybody getting into this problem here is the solution.

I duplicated my animated / enveloped mesh… Freez it.
Create some nails on the cloth and parent them one by one to points in my enveloped mesh.

Than i animated the ‘active’ parameter for every nail in a right moment to let the cloth simulate by itself and not under influence of my animated mesh…

and that’s it! Works in real time and I love it!
