Is there any presets for syflex, e.g. silk, leather ... etc.?

Not that I know of. I’m not sure even if syflex (being a plugin) records/loads data that can be used as a preset.

Its so circumstantial anyway. Silk settings on a frantically moving character doesn’t look like silk on a stationary character that has wind blowing on him.
-dial in for control
-dial in further for context.

In every show I used cloth sims I’d spend 5 minutes setting up the sim with settings that work well from other shots and tests (for the exact same geometry and rig). But then spend half a day up to two weeks dialing it in for that specific shot’s action.

Experience is the only reliable ‘short-cut’ i’ve found.

Cloth in XSI does have presets.
like leather, silk and so on.

they are in the second tab after you set cloth Op to an object.

True in fact I made them years ago.
But I wouldn’t consider them much of a shortcut because they exist vs syflex without them. Context changes *everything*.
And Syflex is the faster and more robust cloth solution in general vs the old XSI cloth.
