I've applied dynamics to the hair and trying to get a good simulation. Whenever I start the simulation the hair pops straight out, out of it's combed position. For most the hair systems, I can can "reset dynamics" and it goes back to the combed position. If I try to run the simulation again, they pop out of wack. I have created several curves styling a girl's hair. Her hair will be so long, from the head to the waist of her body. The problem, as shown on the image below, is that the guides Softimage creates for the Hair don't have enough subdivisions to represent the shape I make with my original curves. I have a cached simulation particles cloud that I am reading into a clean scene. (no simulation just reading the cache files). Is it possible to create a new empty cloud and duplicate some particles from the cached cloud based on a test (a proximity to geometry test in this case). Essentially I want to suck particles from the cached cloud towards geometry ... I figure I have to make a new cloud to do this. I would love to use move towards goal, but the self.emitlocation within the compound is red because there is no emitter on a cached cloud. And the Self.CollisionLocation inside that compound is also invalid. I need to do rag doll and floppy ears types of things using bones on a single mesh. In know that these things are usually done with separate rigid body objects connected by joints but I'd like to use a single object mesh and be able to rig it with bones that have limits set on them and are controlled by dynamics (springs perhaps?). In addition, I'd like to be able to apply IK for a few frames and then have the dynamics kick in at a certain frame (for football tackles when the player can become a rag doll after running and getting tackled etc.).
