I have the Autodesk Mod Tool and I am learning everthing I can from vidoes, blogs and tutorials all around the internet but I made a bike frame with some arcs and drawn line and used the extrusion along curve tool. I can’t connect the pipes together.  I tried merge, and bridge.  I must of did something wrong or skipped something.  I can’t find a tutorial at least for Softimage to make a frame so i just need a little help.  I am a newbie on this.

to use bridge you must have a single geometry, you need to merge the geometry and then use bridge on faces, or edges.
You can also merge the geometries, delete the faces where you want to attack and use the “N” tool create polygon and bridge it manually, it should be easy but, it will be better if you post some screenshots of your model so we can help you in details.

OK here is another stupid question then how do I get the screen shots? Can I turn the scene model into a JPEG.  I made something else before and I couldn’t figure that out either, do I have to export it?  Sorry it’s probably a very simple answer right lol

- Ctrl + Print Screen (this will capture a screen shot into the clipboard)
- Open your favorite paint program and create a new file
- edit and paste the clipboard capture onto the new file.
- Save the file as a jpg.  Attach the file to your next post.

actually did this myself not but a few days ago… post a screen so we can see. what i did was just merge the frame pieces (0 tolerance) and manually weld points “M” option and add edge loop where needed. But as mentioned above you could use that method also ... lots of ways to achieve what you are after. Post a pic someone will help you out for sure. :)

Here is a pic of the motorcycle frame.  I did realize that some of the pipes I made were surface meshes while the others were polygon meshes and it seemed they didn’t merge thinking that was my problem I don’t know.  When I changed it to all poly meshes the two pieces merged, but I appreciate some input otherwise.
