After having worked with Sun’s Netbeans for Python and PyDev for Eclipse for a while I was wondering, if it is in any way possible to truly interconnect (X)SI with such an application? Hard to imagine having to go back to the internal script editor or the otherwise excellent ScriptEd…

Hello,
I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘truely interconnect’. Do you mean, having an Eclipse window inside SI ?

Pretty much anything written in c++ can be stuffed into a Custom Display Host with some minor addtional code. The minor code allows the main app. to interact with SI events. Eclipse is written in Java, and to me, that means it can’t be put inside a CDH.

OT: If I win a mini-lottery I’ll soup up ScriptEd with all the goodness in the world :)

Cheers,
