Using an 8mm Sigma on a D200 body, am curious about % overlap required for accurate stitch process? 30o delta between images has been producing too much data and Auto-stitch freqeuently fails, how much of a sweep between images is best?  Thanks in advance.

Think there’s a lot of users who don’t yet know about this forum…

Hello, I’m new to this sort of thing but I have been endeavouring to evaluate the demo version of Stitcher for the last few days.
My conclusions so far are that while it’s features fulfill a lot of my needs it does not seem to be as robust as I would like e.g.
I waited 2 hours for a rendering process to conclude and it stopped working at the 99%.  Using morphing seemed to help this but according to the website there still seem to be a lot of issues still to be resolved.
Another aspect is that, because of my requirements for Adobe’s Design Premium CS4 package I am considering upgrading my computer from a 32-bit Vista Ultimate PC with 2Gb RAM to a 64-bit Vista Ultimate PC with 8Gb RAM. I realise that the latter is not supported but has anybody tried running Stitcher on a 64 - bit system and does Autodesk have any plans to support it in future?
I am also considering AutoPano Pro which has comparable features including a 64-bit version. It also has good online Help and Tutorial support all at a third of the price!
Any advice would be appreciated before I take the plunge and buy it (Stitcher that is!).

At this point Autodesk has said nothing little the future of Stitcher.

If virtual imaging is part of how you make your living, you should make sure you have a fall-back program you are already familiar with

Look at PTGui too

If you are into serious panorama production Autopano Pro is the best as it is designed from the ground up for serious production work.
