I have Stitcher Unlimited 5.7 but haven’t used it in awhile. Today I tried to use it and it’s virtually inoperable. I’m on a Mac running Mountain Lion (OS 10.8). Will there be an upgrade to accommodate Mac users with the latest operating system?

dont hold your breath, autodesk abandoned this product years ago, and has not updated or responded to ANY stitcher issues at all since mid 2009 as you can see in this abandoned forum you are now reading

plus autodesk recently laid off almost 500 workers according to this, so it seems pretty unlikely they will be updating or supporting stitcher ever again - http://mashable.com/2012/08/23/autodesk-lays-off-7-of-entire-staff/

these days, most folks use either autopano or ptgui for panoramic image stitching

https://www.ptgui.com/

and visit the panoramic photographers group on facebook for a more lively community ;)

Also have a look at Hugin

http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

as free open source you can be assured that it will continue to grow.  I’m a little leery about PTGui as it appears to use unlicensed SIFT methods though the developer won’t tell you the method to find matching points.  However, PTGui’s control point finder came out shortly after the SIFT clones came out.  Basically all three are good programs but my conscience prevents me from asking to be paid for my panoramas if I’m not paying the developer of a new technology their due.
