I am considering a Quad or 8-core Mac Pro and was wondering if Stitcher Unlimited would make full use of the multiple cores?

Thank you.

as of september 2009 there is still no multi core support is autodesk stitcher, and autodesk has not expressed any interest in adding it

are there any single processor computers still on the market these days ?

stitcher does feature GPU acceleration, but this feature never worked on any mac i tested it on, only producing a solid black output file, im not sure if this bug has ever been fixed…

Good that I am realizing that now. I wanted to transfer Stitcher Unlimited 2009 from my Mac Book Pro to my new Mac Pro for performance reasons. Their failed authorization system kept me from doing so and if they still don’t support multi-cores then I rather keep it on my laptop.

When Stitcher was in the hands of RealViz I had less expectations (small company and a reputation which wasn’t always positive) but now that Autodesk is responsible for this product it is unacceptable. I hoped that things would change for Stitcher but I guess I was wrong.
