This entry comes from Rolf Berteig, one of the early developers on 3ds Max and now with Mental Images. Rolf was a big factor in giving 3ds Max such long legs.

Congratulations 3ds Max for making it to your 10th birthday! As one of the original software architects of 3ds Max, it is really a thrill to see it going strong 10 years later. Showing Max for the first time back at SIGGRAPH 1995 was exciting. Seeing Max and Maya together, both alive and well at SIGGRAPH 2006 was truly inspiring.
Here's to 10 more successful years!
