Home use for Subscription users!
Posted: Mar 26, 2007 - 05:14 AM
Have any of you heard about the new "home use" for Subscription users? In the past, you could "borrow" a license from work and transport it home to use it at home - but then you had to remember to move it back to work. You can still transport licenses, but now you can simply install 3ds Max at home with it's own license! This benefit is limited to subscription customers, but I know many of you have asked about us doing something about the "home use" problem and now we have. As far as I know, this is all effective immediately. I don't know the details of what you need to do, but I'm assuming this is up on the subscription site. I'm just trying to get the word out because I know many of you would appreciate this flexibility.

Here's an update from our Subscription people:
Standalone license holders install 3ds Max at home and use the existing serial number to obtain an auth code. Further information is on the Subcription center (if you have Subscription, you can access this).

For Network license holders, they need to fill out a form and submit to Autodesk. If approved, we send the customer a companion standalone serial number as well as installation instructions. This companion license can be used for one or more employees depending on the request.
