Ah, content is king
So this is day 2 for my blog and I thought I'd talk a little about our new website here. First, you might have noticed some rough edges here and there. If you didn't, bless you for not looking too closely yet. If you do see them, please by all means send us feedback so it can be fixed. WAIT. Don't send it to me, use that handy feedback button on the right side of the page please (my inbox will thank you). One thing I'm hearing from the max users is that there is not enough max content here compared to maya content. Now as Douglas Adams said "Don't Panic". This doesn't mean we love one of our products more or anything. It just happens that there was a lot of pre-existing content from the old Alias web page that could be easily migrated. We didn't have an analogue to that on the Max side as we relied on other excellent community resources like scriptspot and maxplugins.de and many more.
That said there is more content coming from Autodesk but ultimately this is a community site and as such most of this content needs to come from you. So for you max users get off your butts and represent your product by submitting scripts, plugins, mental ray shaders and tutorials and as always, awesome images. You finally have an official Autodesk sponsored place to go. Now it's a race to fill it up.

Thanks guys, yep the text problem has been driving me nuts. I just can't type without lots of apostrophes and brackets, its not in me. Looks like its fixed now so we'll see. David, consider it done. I'll put in the request today. I'm actually surprised it wasn't already there.
Thanks for the plug (!) Shawn, any chance you could give someone a nudge to add my site to the Links page... I'm really looking forward to seeing this place take off, once the teething troubles have been sorted out.
Oh yeah, I'm having the same problem with your text as John. This is what "didn't" looks like for me: didn’t

Shawn, looking foward to seeing if these blogs continue to get updated or not. I don't much care for the feedback area vs having a little forum thread for community problems and suggestions but I guess I shouldn't fill your blog spot with my suggestions.
Anyways, glad you hear you address the Max complaints that I hear everywhere. Hope the blogs will continue on and I also hope that your blog here gets the text fixed in the future (I'm using safari and all the words that have an " ' " like "didn't" get screwed up by putting some wierd lettering and a trademark logo?).
