AREA v2, its really coming.
For those of you that haven't heard yet, my team is currently in full swing on AREA v2. The next version will be based on a much more flexible engine which will allow for more rapid changes to the site. I know everyone is asking and yes we will get new forums with little things like emoticons, signature lines and yes, heaven forbid, the ability to post images in your messages. I know it all sounds so novel. ;-)
I'm not going to give too much away at this point but I think AREA v2 will make a lot of users happy. I know I am truly excited but what we are working on (although that could be my inner geek showing through). Watch this space for updates and sneak peaks in the future.

Although you did not ask for requests, I still give you two
1. Please keep the RSS feed in there (and potentially fix the long thread issue squishing everything)
2. Could be get access to showcase etc without having to login all the time?
I understand that we have to log in to post on the forum, that makes total sense.
But having to login just to read something is kind of a pain :/
