Be a film making rebel

For those of you always loved action films, have a Macgyver instinct, like to break rules and have a drive to make a film, you need to read this book. Authored by Stu Maschwitz one of the co-founders of the Orphanage and master of the underground film making arts this book is a must read. I have had the pleasure of meeting with Stu a number of times and I can honestly say this book is his personality in spades.

Most of Stu's time is spent jetting around working on feature films shoots and high end commercials for the Orphanage, so needless to say I was surprised to see he had taken the time to write a book. He even joked to me that he should have had an altitude and GPS coordinates listed on each page to let you know what flight he was in the middle of when he wrote it. Amen brother.

I can't recommend this book enough. I find it refreshing for someone of Stu's caliber to not focus on the purists view of film making but on a down to earth just get it done well but cheap philosophy.

Here is the Stu's website for the book.
