Half way throught the roadshow
So I have officially made it half way through the roadshow. The New York event went well. Our venue was a dance school which was definitely a first for me. 3D is not an industry known for its svelte, athletic, pretty people and yet for the whole day of setup for the event everywhere I turned there was another attractive person doing the splits. On days like this I wonder about my career choices. Another first was doing my breakout presentation in an actual dance practice room. You know the room. The one with the self esteem testing mirrors all the way around and wooden railings designed to highlight your complete inability to do the splits. What was great about this room was thanks to the magic of mirrors my crowd looked absolutely huge apparently numbering in the thousands. Unfortunately there also seemed to be an infinite number of presenters I had to compete against as well.
After New York it was Chicago. As you can see my room and view was much improved from what I had in New York and quite a bit cheaper as well.
The event in Chicago was in a performing arts center so there is definitely a theme going on. It was a perfect venue for the presentations. I think the only problem was that someone ordered way to much pizza. Iit worked out to about half a pizza per person. Why don't we ever make that kind of mistake with the alcohol? In any event a number of our users (makes it sound like we sell drugs) went home with not just shirts but pizzas as well. I guess the pizza would be a perfect complement if we actually sold drugs.
