Ever wished you could have your own interactive digital whiteboard or how about a interactive 3d display. Well let Johnny Lee show you how to do just that with a Wii and a few cheap parts.
I originally ran across a talk put on by Johnny at the TED conference and I just had to share some of his how too videos. The stuff he is doing is just too cool.
Here is a link to is talk at the TED conference
Playing with your Wii - crazy innovative uses for the Wii
In this video Johnny covers using a wiimote and some software to create an interactive multi touch whiteboard. Think iphone UI on a 90 inch projection screen. Ya, its that cool.
This next video is for you gamers. Johnny shows how to create a real time head tracker using a wiimote that then drives an interactive display to generate a steroscopic style effect. When you see it you'll be blown away. I think this concept could really take off for the gaming. EA games was so impressed with the idea that they had even considered putting the feature in Boom Blox as an easter egg.
Well if that didn't blow you away or inspire you to do a little DIY then your 3d geek membership card needs to be revoked.
