Steel Beach
I know that many of you have heard rumblings of a get together and party at Siggraph. Invites were sent out a little while ago but from the number of people requesting info I'm assuming that in many cases (thanks to the wonders of registration databases) your corporate purchasing agent got the invite to our event and not you. I recommend some stern words with the purchasing agent about not forwarding such important info. You also might have not received the invite if you had opted out of any electronic communication with Autodesk (don't you feel silly now). The final major reason you would not have received an invite is that you don't in fact own any of our software and that is a true shame that you should correct immediately ;-)
So whats going on at Sigg? We are holding a big user group event on monday the 6th with mulitple guest speakers and announcements. Yours truly will be their MCing the event and doing my best to keep everyone to a schedule (like herding cats). The reason I want to be on schedule is I don't want anyone to miss any time at our after party. I've been working with some fine people over at Cafe FX to put together "Steel Beach" This will be a one of a kind party happening on the flight and hanger deck of a real aircraft carrier, the USS Midway. Drinking, dancing, and nauseating flight simulators all on a massive floating military base. What more could you ask for?
See the bottom of the page for a link to the user group meeting and party registration. Space is very limited so register now if you want any chance of getting into the meeting and party. Here you can also see the image for the party invite.
Click here to register for the event. At the User group event you will recieve your pass for the party.
