So its the day before the first city of the 3d roadshow. Tomorrow morning we start setting up our machines at the venue in Montreal. At the moment about 300 people are signed up. I expect that the final tally will be pretty close to that as montrealers seem to show up when they say they will. This isn't the case with all cities (you know who you are) Last year in san Fran we had a few hundered people register and around the same number came to the show but most were not the people who actually registered which was pretty amusing. Pretty much solidified San fran as the flighty city of the tour.
So we are just finalizing our demos and double checking the hardware for the 3d roadshow as well as the systems roadshow which happens simultaneously. Here is an image of the dingy little room we are in.

Thats what a roadshow looks like when the hardware and cables are on the outside. here is a look behind the drive rack...

What you also don't hear or feel is the large fans and air conditioners humming away trying to keep all the drive arrays cool. They are doing a good job as this picture of Daryl working at Toxik in multiple layers and a hood to keep warm can proove...

I'll see all you montrealers tomorrow.

great Show last night guys! Although I attended the Maya end of the conference i still really liked what you did as a collaborated effort. Im really looking foreward to start using Maya8 at work. We should be integrating it soon as we have been beta testing it for our pipeline for the past while. i cant wait!!

Im also looking forward to trying Toxic out! ive been using combustion for roughly 6 years now so its time to move on to bigger and better things. Being the diehard Discreet (Autodesk now) fan that i am, this looks like it could be a step in the right direction for me!

Looking forward to seeing you guys next year!
