Now the moment you have all been waiting for with baited breath. I can practically hear the anticipatory silence. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you need to read my last blog entry. Go ahead I'll still be here when you come back.

Alright so now for the most important rule of a happy relationship whether you travel for a living or not. The best part about this rule is it can be used by anybody successfully with nearly instant results (assuming your significant other is female). This rule has been perfected over a decade of trial and error. I'd like to apologize now to those woman who I met before I figured out the rules. But as we can see, it was all in the name of science.

Rule #4: Send flowers. I know your all thinking "I waited for this? Thats stupid, everyone knows that." Ah but wait. First I doubt many people actually send flowers and second if you have, I bet you screwed it up. Yes, thats right men, there are rules to getting maximum effectiveness from flowers. I know that men as a rule don't get the flower thing (I know I don't) but you don't have to get it for it to work for you. First never, ever bring flowers to her at home if you can help it. Send the flowers to her office. Most flower delivery services will even let you pick the delivery time. Try to make sure she gets them when the most people are around, like during an office party. Every woman deep down wants to be able to brag about how great their man is to their friends, so make it easy for her. The other plus is if you do this enough times, all of her friends will remind her how great you are when shes mad at you about something. The second important tenet of flower giving is she should never get flowers she expects. They should always be a surprise. This means send them for no reason whatsoever. If valentines is coming don't send them on valentines day. Send them a few days before so that all her friends can see them and start worrying if they're going to get anything (if it makes other men look bad thats their own damn fault). I put a lot of thought into always making flowers or other gifts a surprise and its worth it. So to repeat, never send her flowers when she expects them. The last tenet is don't overdo it. Anything done too much becomes a non event and dull.

Ladies, if you want a simple variation on this that guys will appreciate and can't aford the 70" plasma, I have two words "cookie bouquet" .

There are a few more rules out there but I have to hold something back for future blogs and this will get you started so get to it. Trust me life is easier when they are happy.
