Please tell me whats the way to make a growing tree in 3ds max? can we use particle flow for that?

I think your best bet would be using one of the plug-ins like:

- Onyx (animatable but not sure if growth too)
- GrowFX (http://exlevel.com/)
- Bionatics

Also try IVY GENERATOR, It’s free and yields excellent results.

Guruware made a max version of IVY - Haven’t tried animating it but it might. Excellent results indeed but only works with MAX 2008 and older versions (no max 2009 yet)
