Hi Ivan. Linking from the favorites doesn’t seem to change anything.
These are the total lengths as displayed by the video player on the veoh site:
- mouth tut: /29:35
- nose tut: /27:26
- eye tut: /21:34
then
- face tut: /05:00
- ear tut: 05:00
and they do stop in mid-sentence after 5 minutes. Did you manage to see more?

Do you see that Cap, (See Attachment)
Click on this link and you would be able to see the full version.

Edit: The disadvantage is that one must install a software which is BETA(?)

I had this message with the first video (the mouth), so I registered to the site and then I could see it entirely. No software to install.
Before I registered, the video stopped after 9 minutes or so. THOUGH it did show xx:xx/29:35 at the bottom left corner of the player (where it shows xx:xx/05:00 for the face and ear tuts).
After registering, everything was fine.
Apparently, my problem is not that the video stops before its end, but rather that the two last videos are only 5 minutes long. And it’s obvious that it’s not intended. I guess something went wrong either when MDB recorded the tuts or when he uploaded them.
This is frustrating, as those tutorials are really good!
MDB, can you fix them? Please?

If you see a preview in the screen there, i would say its more about the size and timing of the video more as this is nealry an hour long. To watch the full version you have to download VeohTV thing and install the viewer.

Ok. I installed it and now everything’s alright. Thanks, guys. I was mislead by the fact I could see the first videos without it.
MDB, the face tutorial was most interesting. In my first (and only) attempt, I was perplexed as to where to put those 5-connected verts (for lack of a better term) to keep following the muscles. And of course, I ended up with too much geometry.
I’ll watch the ear part later. Thanks again!

Hi Eugene,
Using your technique I modeled a pretty acceptable ear I think (See first Attachment still not appropriately positioned) Thank you for that.
Thinking about all this I just have a “small” question: (See second Attachment)
I do know why it is better to model with quads BUT I’m wondering is this always an absolute obligation. Sometimes the triangle is just the logical solution and BTW the Smooth option has no problem to turn any triangle into quad in any normal case.
In my humble opinion if the Triangle is in some plane region of the model it must not be a big problem.
Anyway I have never animated such a model and maybe my question is already answered but nevertheless I want to know your opinion and why this striving to do all at any price out of quads. Thank you!
