DreamWorks Animation is looking for a Maya Tools Software Engineer to enhance and support proprietary FX and Modeling tools integrated into Autodesk’s Maya software.
Candidates will interface directly with Production Artists and leads in the above mentioned departments, collect requirements, architect solutions to implement tools and libraries to meet production needs. Candidates for this position must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
• M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science along with 4-6 years professional experience
• Expert in using both the Maya API and Mel in creating production tools and workflow enhancements
• Expert in C++ software development
• Experience in problem solving and balancing quick turnaround with long-term quality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
• Working knowledge of other scripting languages (Python, Perl) a plus
