As an Autodesk Approved Instructor, and in addition to teaching techniques with mental ray, Dario also teaches high dynamic range imaging (HDRI), modeling techniques, organic Sub-D, character studio, reactor, particle flow, texturing / unwrap, animation controllers, video editing and compositing, 2D design, database and authoring.
In 2007, he created the first edition of the "Digital 3D Meeting" held in the Province of Palermo. This was the first 3D event in Sicily garnering membership and attention from the region of Sicily, the Province of Palermo, the City of Palermo, Eureka Engineering, the CG magazine “Imago Editions”, and the Internet portal http://www.treddi.com.
Dario has been a guest on various 3D related media including "Pixmedia" in Rome, "Digital 3D meeting", the "Ordine degli Architetti di Palermo", various webcasts and Autodesk Open Doors. His experience also includes creating 3D computer graphics for medical, forensic, and military (Italian army and carabinieri) multimedia productions in Italy. He is also studying 3D visualization systems for the Internet and “real-time” for multimedia authoring.
Dario is also active participant in the 3D community via the web. He writes a blog at Graffica 3D [ http://www.grafica3dblog.it ] and writes tutorials and comments on several forums: http://www.cad3d.it, http://www.renderglobal.org, http://www.3dcyborg.org/, and http://www.treddi.com. The latter is a reference for the 3D community in the classroom and on the Internet.
He began working with 3D Studio (DOS) in 1992 and his passion for 3D graphics started with watching the special effects in Disney's "Tron" and Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" as well as video clips from "Money for Nothing".
His experience also includes 3D CG for medical, forensic and military multimedia productions in Italy. He is also studying 3D visualization systems for the Internet (viewpoint) and realtime for multimedia authoring.

I’ve also created 3D computer graphics for medical, forensic, and military (Italian army and carabinieri) multimedia productions in Italy and am studying 3D visualization systems for the Internet and “real-time” for multimedia authoring.
Currently, I am involved with various projects for special effects, for example, Gunbus (Richard Herland), project of University of Hollywood http://www.uofh.it and on the web in various 3D communities, ( http://www.cad3D.it and http://www.treddi.com ).What is most fascinating is the ability to integrate 3D in the print media, in videos and the web. Thanks to the ease of use of Combustion and 3D Studio, everything is fluid and unique.
The greatest development will be in architecture and some new interest from sectors within photography (e.g. virtual stage). Also, 3D navigation display systems will be increasingly realistic.
I recommend always working with 3ds Max because it is simple to use, intuitive and powerful and is integrated throughout the multimedia industry.
