Austin Zago Portfolio
    Image Resolution: 640x480 px
    Category:Design, Nature, Reality
    Software: Autodesk 3ds Max
My third image smile been using Max for about 4 months now, worked on it in May, but didn't work on it that much, been really busy lately smile. It is called the wishing well, worked on it about 1/5 of what I did on my last image. It is a pretty simple image, the scene as about 200,000 polys. Fountain from a lathe, grass done with hair and fur, and such. I know there are improvements that can be made, but I want to move on smile.

My name is Austin Zago, I just started using 3ds Max about a month and a half ago as of March 11, 2008. I tried out Maya and Blender but Max was my favorite. I am 14 and I am in 8th grade. I am into acting, tennis, baseball, and lots of other sports, also video effects and editing (with Premiere Pro and After Effects). I like the architectual part of Max and also like the realistic nature part, I also would love to start making cool looking creatures, I'm not into game characters that much though.

Yes, I am a beginner to lighting, I cannot lie about that. Lighting is one of things I find hardest in 3D, and I’m working on it.
Yes the bricks are wrong :( Haha

you’re obviously need to improve your lighting and rendering first.. good modeling wont be good without these. and for someone who’s just started, i think you’re doing good.. =)

btw, i think you got the bricks bump to the wrong way.. check that again..

Longboarder: I know smile but I got bored of it and decided to move on
c12hris: Should of tiled it more, yes the fountain relflection is strange, but that is probably how the water would reflect on a material like I used in a real-world scenario.

The wall need a higher res texture. Or just use UVW Map to adjust. The reflection of the fountain a bit abnormal.

You need to add a bump to the close wall, and if I were you, I wouldn’t consider this my final.:(
