The base looks a little lo-poly still, but it looks way better than the last render.  The screen might need a little reflection, or be brighter, and a wall withe a little texture would look great.  Almost there!  Great Job!

If you have a little cash (like $70) go to http://www.digitaltutors.com/store/home.php?cat=5 they have very good tutorials. They alsohave a few tutorials on mental ray. You pretty cool though. What you know about maya is like the opposite of me. You seem to have experience but no textbook knowlage. I’m the opposite (Meaning you probable better then me by a lot)!
you welcome for anything

You can’t learn mental ray in 5 min

that’s true...I don’t know why my eyes strike it it me as odd....anyway if you are still seeking out the GI and FG options as recommended by zanfankid you need to enable the Mental Ray Renderer in the Common Tab of the Render settings.  Selection the Illumination Tab to enable it. in there and start with a low FG points to see where you are at before increasing the points to several thousands. Also take note on the radious to render FG as well. This will cut down render time a lot.
