Hi,
Thanks a lot! The comments are really helpful!
Also, (sorryf or the double post) I would make the shadow a bit more diffuse since you have a lot of cloud cover in there that will scatter the light and make it less direct and hard of a shadow. Looks iek the shadow direction is matched up pretty well based on where the waves are casting theirs. Good stuff!
Nice start at this render! I would make the horizons match by using your background as an image plane first, then making the grid in Max/Maya match the vanishing point in your background (pointing to the horizon. If you have to offset your scene to keep its orientation here have your grids VP end exactly on the horizon, but just rotate your scene in Y to keeps its nice corner layout you have set up). It would also help to add a little blue to your shadows depending on your light sources color. Anytime you have a warm light source, you will have a slightly cool shadow. Basically the shadow will be the complementary color to your light sources hue (180 degree shift on your color wheel). Also taking the shadow edges to a slightly softer falloff with less density will really add that kick to this. Great work!
By the way, how to use dummy?
How can I fix the problem of the reflections of the metal railing and the glass?
