Mark JacksonMark Jackson

Mark Jackson began his CG career over 20 years ago in Post Production, working on commercials such as StarWing and MarioKart for early Nintendo consoles. He moved into games in 1996 to produce cutscenes including the intro for Vanishing Point which was nominated for a Digital Hero award in 2001. He joined Eurocom Entertainment shortly after and is now Lead Technical Supervisor.

Mark established the company's Maya pipelines, and changed his own career path after developing procedural rig and animation systems to handle the company's first full MoCap experience - Athens2004. He moved away from Animation and went on to push the pipeline and Maya, going from Lead Animator to R&D Manager before forming the Art Pipeline team.

He now manages a team responsible for the continued development of the companies extensive Maya and Autodesk® 3ds Max® pipelines, supporting up to 120 artists, animators and designers across the studio.

He is an active member of the Autodesk Alpha and Beta programs and continues to push Maya's development. When not writing Python, Mark spends his few spare hours with his wife, two sons and VW Camper (not necessarily in that order!).
