William Groebe
Will Groebe is an Animation Supervisor at Tippett Studio. Will started his career in art by co-creating a self-published comic book with a few high school friends called
Xiola. His mild success helped launch him a career in video games as a concept artist. Finding a passion for animation, Will was trained to be an animator. After six years working in the video game industry on many tiles including
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, he was hired at ESC Entertainment to work as an animator on
Matrix: Revolutions. Shortly afterwards Will moved over to Tippett Studio for the express purpose of working on his dream project,
Hellboy; and since 2004 Will has contributed animation, storyboards, and concept art to a variety of film and commercial projects at Tippett Studio. His credits include
Twilight: Eclipse, Cats and Dogs II: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Enchanted, Charlotte's Web, Cloverfield, The Golden Compass, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Constantine, and more. As well as his film credits he has lead on many of the commercial projects at Tippett Studio. Apart from his studio work Will has given lectures at various Bay Area arts schools in the hopes that young artists will believe in their own talents and fulfill their dreams as he has. Will lives in Marin County with his wife and son, and spends most of his free time creating artwork for various projects; currently back to his roots working on a new
Xiola graphic novel
