Description: A Panda caught by surprise while snacking a fish in the middle of the bamboos - this was the briefing given to me by 3D Artist magazine to support a tutorial focused on modeling and fur creation. Render with Mental Ray and fur with Max's Hair&Fur.

nice tutorial.
panda obviously reminds of Kung fu Panda 2. awesome movie btw, great unique style... seems more like a Disney or PIXAR caliber film rather than Dreamworks typical subpar work. Character design (and everything) is soooooooo much better than typical Dreamworks Shrek crap. must have a totally different team on the kung fu panda's films.

Regarding the eyes' highlights it has more to do with the modeling of the eye than the light.
It is modeled to catch highlights at the base of the iris.
