Description: It's rather difficult to create a realistic metallic silver paint material. Fake specular solutions work most of the time, but you must add specular lights in order for the fake highlights to work properly. In this mental ray example, I used a metallic material so the paint would reflect the environment naturally without the need for specular lights.
A note about the car model: I did not model the car itself, only the rims & tires. The car model is a free model available at Evermotion.org.

| Very nice render, and thanks for the explanation on how you did it. Sometimes the 'simple' way, is the way to go : )
