Infinite Cyberpunk
”Infinite Cyberpunk”. Inspired by all the cool cyberpunk art posted lately, I though I would give it a go myself.
Used a very old scan I found sitting on the harddrive, last time I opened it was 2010. Original mesh is 9 million polygons, now he is close to 40 million. Followed the texturingxyz tutorials and projected a displacement map from another scan on top of this mesh to get more details.
Had a lot of fun lighting this with the classic cyberpunk colored lights, tried to sneak in some Blade Runner vibes in the grade, but I ended up leaning towards a bit more neutral colors and more contrast.
Rendered in Maya with V-ray, Yeti for hair, Mudbox for sculpting and some texture work, compositing in Nuke.
