Hello Flame World!

Happy New Year!

I’d like to reintroduce myself to the Flame community and announce that we plan to bring back the "Flame Premium can do that" blog in 2014….

I want to thank Caitlin Troughton for keeping the blog active while I’ve been busy with my new role at Autodesk.

For those of you who don’t know me, I manage the Media & Entertainment Technical Sales team in N America.  Before that I spent many years as a Flame evangelist, presenting Flame demos around the world.  I actually started working with Flame in 1993 and joined Discreet Logic in 1995, so I’ve met quite a lot of Flame artists and I’ve seen quite a lot of changes in the product over the years.

My goal for the blog will be to share my experiences with the Flame community.  Whether it be traveling to the various tradeshows and events or through my individual customer interactions.   I’d like to shine a spotlight on the people behind the software both using it creatively or even designing and making it.  There’s so many cool and talented people that have somehow crossed paths with Flame.  People doing amazing work that we don’t always get a chance to recognize or learn enough about.

I also want to introduce Quinn Richardson who will be sharing the blog with me.  Quinn is a Technical Specialist based in New York City who joined my team 2 years ago.

Quinn will focus on the Technical side of the application and keep you posted on new functionality and perhaps even some of the more hidden capabilities.

Together we think we can make the "Flame Premium can do that" blog interesting, informative and fun!

Stay tuned, and I hope 2014 is a great year for everyone!
