I've been incredibly ill over the last week and a half. But I'm starting to get back on my feet. Got alot of news to cover.
Maya LT Price Drop
First off, if you haven't heard, Maya LT is now $30 a month! And even less if you go annual subscription. It's a great time to be an indie. I was telling some guys at the local Houston IGDA social night how I wish things were so accessible when I first got into game making back in 2000. Indies have so many options these days - like cutting edge game engines at very affordable prices, crowd funding, and non-traditional publishing methods. With tools like Maya LT at such low prices, there's nothing stopping you from making great games.

Wow! What can I say, but that? If you haven't seen BitSquid, check it out here - http://www.bitsquid.se/
It is a very powerful game engine, and Autodesk just acquired it! The possibilities are endless. Obviously, there is the gaming angle, but the game engine has just as much potential to be used in the engineering and architectural realm for realtime visualization. Very exciting stuff. I'll be keeping a sharp eye on this.
I'm starting a new Twitch TV channel that will hopefully grow into something fun for everyone. I'll be starting out very informal, simply working live on Mudbox, Maya LT, MotionBuilder, Sketchbook, and whatever else I need to get content done. Feel free to drop in any time after 1 PM CST weekdays to see me at work. I can't guarantee I'll always be on at first, but I'm going to try to be on as often as possible. Hopefully, as time goes on, things will become more solid.

I hope to include:
- Live Feedback of my work
- Live tutorials on request
- Guest modelers & animators
- Live portfolio reviews of YOUR work
- And whatever else we can do to have a good time!
- And maybe a cool name for my channel contest????
I know E3 is going on right now, and most of you are too busy watching those streams, but hopefully I'll see you soon.
