New Maya Feedback Site

By - - Maya , M&E Collection , Maya LT

Hello all,

I’m TJ from the product marketing team for Maya, Maya LT, MotionBuilder, Mudbox and more. We wanted a good place for you to be able to share your ideas, vote on other people’s ideas, and help contribute to the direction of our roadmap in a tangible way.

The administration team for the Maya feedback sites has been very busy sorting through a lot of our feature requests. We received a lot of submissions that had already been fixed or may have been outdated and no longer relevant in newer releases. There were many overlapping items as well.

We also saw another thing we wanted to fix; people tended to be less involved on the sites once their votes had been used up.

Understanding all of this, we are launching the new Autodesk Ideas community for Maya.  The new revamp of the site comes with a number of improvements that were made based on what people have been asking us for.

Site improvements include:

Unlimited votes with one vote per Idea
The ability to vote on new ideas without having to “free up” votes if you had already reached your limit. This will allow for continuous participation in on-going ideas.

Refining & updating the Ideas' list
It was time to do a bit of spring cleaning and to remove outdated ideas or things that had already been fixed. This site gives us a fresh and more relevant start. To get the ideas flowing, we have brought most of the top open ideas from the previous list.

Simplified Access
The system works directly with your existing Autodesk Single Sign-On (SSO) account for a more seamless experience for all users.

The new Autodesk Maya Ideas page can be accessed here

We’re excited for you to look at the refined list and to add any new ideas you might have. The team is committed to reviewing new ideas as they come in and continue to make improvements in our software-based directly on what you ask for.

Happy voting!

-TJ

It's not possible to download old files from the Duncans blog. Links seem to be there but they don't work.
