SHADERS

Description

Rendertree Compound for rendering AO with alpha rather than the base colour. Useful if you're rendering to go into a platform/program where either it's not practical, viable or possible to use blend modes.

Usually we can do this in the composting stage. Rendering alpha channel for occ will only make your files larger with no much benefit at all.

i do not know what this compound consists of, but if you want AO with alpha like this, just set bright color in XSIAmbientOcclusion shader to 0,0,0,0 and dark color to 0,0,0,1 (and make sure Occlusion in alpha is NOT checked)
