Dunlee Darnan 3d Art, inspired by an illustration by Jean-Baptiste Monge (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/mAOoa).
This project is a personal challenge in which I wanted to enjoy the modeling, texturing, mapping, lighting and composition. In fact, I wanted to do a project done in the ACES color space throughout the process. I wanted to experiment with the lighting, so I interpreted all the work as a realistic set, with no tricks of light links, only blockers and photo-direction techniques.
The character and the owl have been sculpted by the great artist Beatriz Orellana (bomofink.wordpress.com), who has helped me with this very ambitious project all the time, and I am very grateful to her.
I hope you like it, and I'd love to get some tips and tricks from you.
