After working in collaboration with my colleagues for the past few months, I am proud to share the final look and compilation for the Trex asset development breakdown.
Our aim was to get this asset through various stage of development namely Model, Texture, Rigging, Animation, Simulation and final light/Compositing.
The main source of inspiration for this development was the thriving artist-driven community with all the varied talent.
Let me take this opportunity to introduce to the team members who have contributed to the success of the final look.

I started this project 3 years ago, thinking of celebration the 20th Anniversary of Space Channel 5.
SC5 is a game from SEGA and its one of the last game that I've really played before stopping gaming for a few years also I really enjoy it's art style.
I wanted to explore some 3D techniques that I didn't had enough experience with, half way in it turned into a social experiment, where I started to use only Instagram as my only platform of communication.
During the development, I was supported and got constructive critiques from the community that didn't care about the tech side of the work, they were into the fandom of the franchise and all they wanted was to get something that aligned with the core values of the original video game.
During the development, besides using traditional CG tools, I was doing the editing, the audio and video edits, all inside a phone.
Only at the end to create full resolution results, Affinity photo and Nuke where used.

tried to make a form of my thoughts.
A project I worked on during quarantine time, inspired by "luizclas" photographs.
I used mainly Autodesk Maya for this project, I sculpting the character using Zbrush then I did the re-topology in Maya.
I used poly paint to draw the textures, and Xgen to groom the hair of the character, And finally I used Arnold to render the final image, and did some tweaks in Photoshop.
What would you like to see?
