A Modeling and Render excercise I made in my free time to try the new arnold GPU workflow.
Since rendering is my major concern, I did try to achieve a realistic result while still saving on time. I did also apply some depth of field.
The quick project dedicated to creating a photorealistic asset of Great Tit (Parus Major).
As always all feathers fibers based, no poly planes with alpha texture. The shading has a multilayer system of primary colors which allows to quickly change colors.
This is my personal work.
Sculpted in ZBrush
Color texture painted in Substance Painter
Rendered in Maya with Arnold
Used Xgen core for the hair
3D illustration based on the original concept by CreatureBox
