In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we put together a visual collection of diverse 3D women created by talented women artists. In doing so, we want to celebrate all women, regardless of ethnicity, race, or age.

If anyone has a doubt about how badass women really are, look no further than these 9 incredible women artists (and their beautiful works) below!

Anneli Larsson, Lilith

3D woman with white hair created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya.

"I start a lot of projects but the ones I'll finish are the ones with a theme I really like. This project had both a technical aspect and a subject matter that kept my interest throughout the entire process.

My favourite work from other people are often the ones that tell a story without being literal. so that's what I hope to do in my work as well."

Ariane Pelissoni, Catarina and Grandma Knows All

"I grew up watching cartoons and loved the 2D and 3D animated characters I'd see there. I always wondered how incredible it would be to bring life to one of those characters.

I'm inspired by artists who work for Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Laika studios and so on. The thing I like most about what I do is that I am able to turn anything into reality."

Dina salama, Rabari Woman

"Different cultures with a rich history inspire me. I love showing underrepresented people through my artworks, and I enjoy creating pieces with a compelling story."

Letícia Santos, Brabinha

3D punk girl created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya. Concept art by Max Grecke.

"I'm passionate about bringing life to characters and letting them tell their own story. I live in Brazil and I'm currently working as a 3D modeller. My dream is to continue on this path in the animation industry. I want to learn from, and contribute to it much as I can."

Sirine Marteau, Warrios nº16

3D fighter woman created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya. Concept art by Chabe Escalante.

"This character was based on a concept by Chabe Escalante. I began by modeling the character in ZBrush and in a T-Pose. This was the most relaxing part of the project. Then, I retopologized it in Maya and began positioning the body, giving it different poses and new expressions.

Rendering was a satisfying part in the project, because you finally get to see your character with good lighting. I enjoy creating my own characters and love bringing them to life."

Moa Alfredsson, Coronation

3D queen created in Autodesk Maya.

"I love organic shapes such as flowing fabric and intricate hair styles. I want to make things that are beautiful to look at and challenging to create."

Yulia Sokolova, Samurai

3D Samurai woman created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya. Based on concept by Kati Sarin S.

"I'm a freelance Character Artist and tutorial instructor. I've been working on some exciting projects with Disney, Envato Tutsplus and mobile games studios. I'm currently focused on modelling stylized characters for games and animated movies. What inspires me most, is the opportunities that modern software gives us - it makes it easier to experiment with various shapes and appearances for my characters, making them unique."

Rita Shap, Girl Macarena

3D red head girl created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya. Based on concept by Gretel Lusky.

"When I came across Gretel's concept art, I decided to make my own version of her red-haired girl. The creation process went by surprisingly quick, and everyone liked it. I will continue to try and create more and more works."

Evgeniya Osipova, Jo

3D magic woman created in Autodesk Maya.
Created in Autodesk Maya. Based on concept by Raquel Travel Illustration.

"I work as a fur groomer in the animation and film industry and really enjoy creating furry stuff. My inspirations are rather simple - I see something and I want to either interpret it my own way, or I get an idea of what I want to make. It's really that simple. I see something beautiful and then I want to create something beautiful of my own."
