Autodesk University 2020: Call for Proposals

Calling all visionaries, experts, and professors

Last modification: 8 Jun, 2020

Autodesk University (AU) attendees say they always leave full of new ideas. What happens at AU? Amazing classes, hands-on training, and candid speakers – to start. That’s where you come in.

So what is AU anyway?!

AU is the top gathering for Media and Entertainment, Architectural, Engineering, Construction, Design, and Manufacturing professionals. It's where professionals go to learn from their peers, get the inside track on future-looking innovations, and make new connections.

Three full days of seminars and demos later, you'll head home inspired and ready to innovate.

Our AU call for proposals is now open.

Come lend your voice to our film, TV, VFX, games, and design visualization conference tracks. We’re seeking speakers with a unique point of view to help build yet another amazing AU experience. On top of being featured in front of a huge global audience, selected speakers will receive a speaker kit with resources and training to make your presentation the best it can be. On top of that, primary speakers will receive $500 USD as compensation. Pretty sweet.

Tell your story

AU is a great place to talk about the things that excite you, that you’re proud of, and to explore new ideas.

For AU 2020, you can submit a proposal to teach a class, write an article, and/or give a Theater talk.
• Teach a class—Submit a proposal to teach a 60- or 90-minute class to share case studies,
innovative workflows, or other expertise.
• Write an article—Articles are a new format in 2020. Submit an article proposal to share your
expertise with the AU community in written form.
• Give a Theater talk—Are you an inspirational leader with a perspective on the future of your
industry? Submit a proposal to present a 15-minute Theater talk.

Topics we're looking for

All ideas are welcome. But here are some hot topics we'd love to hear about:

+ Scalable production pipeline for digital content creation for the Design Visualization and Entertainment industries, including animation, VFX, and modeling within 3ds Max and Maya

+ How to bring film-quality rendering to design visualization and maximize rendering performance with Arnold in 3ds Max

+ How to leverage the Media & Entertainment Collection for design visualization

+ How to maximize performance with integrated workflows

+ Animation and VFX

+ Visualization and architecture services

+ Cloud collaboration

+ Simulation and reality capture

+ Machine learning, AI, and virtual reality

How to submit

Proposals are due June 22, but don't fret – you’ve got this. Here’s what you need.

Selected speakers will be notified by early August, and you'll have a few long months to prepare your presentation. Autodesk University will be taking place virtually.
