A few versions back we introduced the Action Gmask and Gmask Tracer node in Batch.

This masking and rotoscoping tool is built to take on every day post production tasks but there is always room for improvement.

Based on user feedback, there have been some enhancements in the Flame 2018.1 update and this will affect Gmask display preferences and general vertex selection.

This video will cover the display preferences and another video will cover the vertex selection.

Hi Grant! And moderators. And programmers. And other users. I guess just Hi everyone... :) I love the new update to the UI for GMask. I have a request/suggestion, though. It would be awesome if the color of the gmask effect in the schematic matched the Non-Active color of the spline. That would make it easier to identify which effect matched which spline. If not the whole color, then maybe an identifying color swatch on the icon or something. This concept could be applied to all effects added - a color coding scheme to make identification easier. And maybe to take it a step further, each type of effect could have its own base color, and a color patch below the name to identify which object it is associated with. For instance... all gmask circles are green or something. But then there is a little color square below it that is by default the color of the Non Active spline color. And maybe all 2d Tranform nodes are red or something. In fact, that could all be user-customized. Maybe there could be an extra tab in preferences where a user could set up their desired color scheme for effect icons... What do you think?

Hi Cyphen, Thanks for your feedback. I definitely think you have some interesting ideas. In order to ensure that your ideas and thoughts get to the right people, ie: the designers and developers, you need to sign up to the Autodesk Flame Feedback Programme... Here is the video how to do that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fsmwd_bM8TE&list=PLqfk4mdQn0sVntqy0ZXxAbEa3Ct3wF6zx&index=1 By doing this, your requests should get to the correct people and they will log your ideas. Many thanks and have a great weekend! Regards Grant
